Meet the Flock: Stephanie Olson

Name:  Stephanie Olson

Role at Red Bird:  Non Fiction Editor

How I became involved with Red Bird and why I agreed to do it:
I have the great honor of having been published by Red Bird.  Red Bird did such a wonderful job with my chapbook, Canon.  It was such a fun process that I wanted to get more involved!

How I became involved with Red Bird and why I agreed to do it:
Dana is a great salesperson. In addition, I liked what I saw/read in terms of the projects Red Bird has produced.

I am functioning as a fan right now. I about to get my feet wet by reading fiction submissions.

Meet the Flock: Nancy Yoder-Bidwell

Name:  Nancy Yoder-Bidwell

Role at Red Bird:  Poetry Editor

How I became involved with Red Bird and why I agreed to do it:
I met Dana, Sarah and Shelley at Hamline.  We had several classes together, and remained in touch through collage afternoons and casual encounters.  Sarah and I connected at a weekend Loft writing conference and started weekly writing sessions soon thereafter.  Several gentle nudges later, here I am as a new editor.

Meet the Flock: Norita Dittberner-Jax

Name: Norita Dittberner-Jax

Role at Red Bird: Poetry Editor

How I became involved with Red Bird and why I agreed to do it:
I was asked to consider being one of the poetry editors.  I knew some of the editors and the publisher, but had only a peripheral knowledge of Red Bird.  I looked at the chapbooks and thought them beautiful and so well-done that I decided I wanted to be part of this.

Meet the Flock: Eric Hove

How I became involved with Red Bird and why I agreed to do it:
I joined Team Red Bird in April 2013.  I received an email from Dana asking if I’d like to sign on with the bravest little press around.  I was thrilled to accept.  I’d had a few classes with Dana and Shelly and I guess they liked the cut of my jib.
